 | As we look today on Bitcoin as one of the greatest achievements of recent technology, we should not forget how it all started and that with a person that many view as the first Bitcoin user. The late software developer, Hal Finney was the first person to receive a Bitcoin transaction. One of his and all of Cryptos most famous lines are “Running Bitcoin“ which was tweeted today exactly 14 years ago as he received the first BTC transaction of 10BTC and started running the bitcoin blockchain as one of the earliest contributors. Sadly Hal Finney passed away in 2014 from a disease. But even until today many people even believe that he is the actual Satoshi Nakamoto. We obviously wont ever know that, but his legacy his truly stored in the blockchain. Also here is a reminder that his wife, Fran Finney, activated his account recently to post about the Running Bitcoin event (and also to not get his account deactivated due to too much inactivity) which is about to conclude as it was a Marathon event from Jan 1 to Jan 10 to collect donations and help the ALS Research.
