2FA configuration P2P marketplace

I have two mobile phones, perfectly synchronized. One is typically in my pocket, and one lies on my desk at home.

Why?

If I lose the phone in my pocket, which is obviously a possibility that can never be excluded, then I can just go home, and continue with my backup phone. No drama whatsoever.

Since a phone number (SIM card) can only be sitting in one device, referring anywhere to that phone number would create a single point of failure, and therefore defeat the entire backup strategy.

Hence, I do not use my phone number at all.

This is, for example, one reason why I communicate over Telegram. I do not need to give my phone number to my correspondent. I can give my username.

That is, for example, also why I don't use WhatsApp. WhatsApp insists on using the phone number as user identification. Hence, the app is unusable when you want to keep a backup phone at home. This is no big deal. My correspondents understand this, and some even completely switch to Telegram too.

The Binance app supports 3 types of 2FA: email, authenticator, and sms.

The email app runs on both phones simultaneously. So, no problem. I have configured the authenticator key on both phones. So, that works fine too.

There is, however, no way to get the SMS 2FA, to work properly on both phones simultaneously. So, I do not want to use it.

Unfortunately, the Binance P2P function insists on 2FA by SMS. Why? This creates a single point of failure on one of my phones, making the other phone unusable as a complete backup.

It is the only app that does this. I have solved the problem with all other apps, if needed, by removing them. For security reasons, I will not create any dependency on a single point of failure.

TLDR; The P2P feature of the Binance app creates a serious security issue. Can you look into it?
