A community-led initiative to decentralize the network + build trusted tooling for the Ethereum Ecosystem.

After the recent Beacon Chain finalization issue, a few of us feel that a community-led initiative to diversify and distribute clients (among other things) is paramount to bolstering Ethereum trust and security.

The idea would be to create a DAO, membership being granted through an NFT mint, and use the proceeds to fund and launch validator nodes in such a way that maximizes security, client decentralization, and geographical decentralization.

For example, we thought it would be awesome to put a validator node on Svalbard, the same Arctic island that houses Github’s Arctic code vault!

The yield from our validators would be reinvested into the Ethereum ecosystem - into things like trusted dapps, client software, media, and anything else that would serve the community. From those activities, DAO members would receive returns in a number of different forms.

We also feel that there is a need for a cohesive Ethereum community network that can produce trusted tools and community organization initiatives for the Ethereum blockchain as a whole (and it doesn’t hurt that it will be backed by an ever growing validator stack to fund these activities!).

Think of this as an organization which

serves as the ecosystem counterpart to

the Ethereum Foundation.

Note: This is not some kind of VC backed shill project, just a few solid Ethereum believooors with an idea for how we can sustainably way to solve some of the Ethereum’s challenges.
