A lot of people hate and don't trust Tether (USDT), but what's a realistic way to replace it?

All Cryptocurrencies

I see Tether (USDT) getting shit on all the time on here and many other places as well. A lot of people also hate the fact it's in the top 10 and theories about it's inevitable collapse.

Some questions I have:

  1. How will we realistically be able to move away from USDT? Most of the exchanges I'm on are dominated by USDT trading pairs (with the exception of Coinbase).
  2. What are viable alternatives? I see good things being said about Terra (UST) and mixed opinions about USDC. I however haven't seen a ton of UST pairs on the exchanges I use.
  3. Are any exchanges making moves to move away from USDT?
  4. If USDT does end up being exposed and failing, how might that affect the entire market with so many pairs being traded with tether?

Would love to hear your thoughts
