A Question on Mainstream Use Cases

I’ve been an investor in crypto for about 6 years now. I’m not a technical expert by any means. Originally, I was fascinated in the massive potential of decentralized applications to improve on the centralized tech infrastructure we all have now ( as well as the price action). Lately I’ve just been questioning the lack of mainstream use cases that have come out of the space after almost a decade of L1 development. Curious what all of your thoughts are on this. It seems this is moving at a much slower pace than the innovation built on top of the internet in the 90’s.
