So my goal is to change the rep of games of chance from one armed bandits to fun online games like Axie Infinity that players can make a living wage out of.
My latest project Halcyon Casino flips the script on what a casino is all about. Halcyon Casino is not your father’s casino. It’s made for winners, not losers.
The one force more powerful than gravity or compounding interest has always been the house’s edge at any casino.
With this project, I have given the player that advantage. So now if player plays with skill, she will win money against the casino over the long run.
This follows the spirit of farming and play to earn games in the tradition of defi. Each casino game should lose money over time as the odds slightly favor the player.
The first game released is one of my favorite casino machines, Jacks or Better video poker. But this poker is called Nines or Better and it has such good odds that as you play it all day, you will stack up the sats.
I’m planning on releasing six to eight games per year. The next releases will include multi-hand blackjack and multi-player poker.
Each game is run completely decentralized on the EVM blockchain and both the data and code are public.
This casino today supports nine L2 chains. Literally every chain I could find that has reasonable transaction prices. That includes Polygon, BSC, Fantom, OKExChain, Heco, Avalanche, Harmony One, XDai and even Moonriver.
Nines or Better video poker works great on every one of these chains and Halcyon Casino is actually a great way to compare and test the various chains.
To support this multi-chain casino I deployed an advanced multi-chain token Halcyon (HAL) which I named after the person who needs no introduction and is probably the main reason we are using crypto today.
The tokenomics will be tight. I have just released 20,000 tokens on each chain and the only way to get tokens is buy them on your favorite AMM or win them at Halcyon.
