I follow news about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies closely since the 2020 ATH but dived into how BTC worked in 2017. It was fun back then to talk about blockchain to people that we're curious. It happened again in 2020, but it wasn't the same.
Anyone making conversation about crypto now only talks about the monetary value and have no idea what they actually put their money into.
I'm boring my GFs brain out when I talk about it, but there's no one to share thoughts and philosophies with on the matter. In one rare occasion someone mentioned the merge but even then they got it all wrong.
Is anyone going through this? Did some of you actually find people that we're interested in the tech and not the monetary value?
EDIT: I am talking IRL
EDIT2: Thanks for all the serious comments. Makes my itch for crypto discussion better aha
EDIT3: I may came across anti investment, guessing after seeing some comments. 100% we all should expect a return, but it's more about knowing and believing in what you put your money in. Blindly putting money without knowing anything about blockchain AND claiming they know about crypto is what the post is about.
