Arise, chikun! Litecoin's 12th Birthday today, celebrating 180,000,000 txs and the longest uninterrupted uptime in all of crypto.

Just a few months ago, Litecoin also became the first crypto in history to exceed Bitcoin's monthly transaction share on the oldest crypto payment processor, Bitpay. This particular milestone was short-lived, for now. But even after dropping a little off the transaction share highs this summer, it still has more share than all other altcoins on bitpay combined, also something I've never seen any other alt on bitpay come close to.

By way of context, before Litecoin was added to bitpay, eth and bch used to fight for a distant second just above 10% with btc over 50%. On my old screenshots I used to deselect btc because all the alts were jumbled together at the bottom and you couldn't tell 2nd place from 10th. Now second place doesn't need help being seen.

When Litecoin was first added to Bitpay in June of 2021, it took just three months to become the top altcoin, exceeding the leaders who had years to cement habit with bitpay users before Litecoin was added. Also notice some of the coins that bitpay seems to It never fell below 2nd and has slowly gained share against both the other alts and against btc.

I encourage people to look at stats on and offchain, as it's always good to confirm, as well as over time. Litecoin has aged very well indeed. Network effects are important, and you can't trust any snapshot b/c of all the shennanigans that take place. But a sustained trend on a purely decentralized (no premine) chain is 1000x more reliable than stats gathered on VC/hedgie chains with billions in manufactured mcap used to simulate and unsustainably incentivize activity before they collapse down the road when the VCs move on to their next scam.

Many won't believe my conclusion, and I don't really blame you. TPTB have done good work shaping narratives and easily gamed mcap leaderboards. Just remember I did give you advance notice. Litecoin is deep clucking value. ????
