As much as I love privacy coins, I don't think they have a future

First look at my flare, I also mod the Monero Beginners subreddit. I love Monero and privacy but I think the reality of the situation is that privacy coins like Monero or Zcash don't really have a future price-wise. Governments are weary enough about crypto but having a totally obfuscated ledger makes the weariness 10x. Exchanges like Bittrex and Kraken have started to de-list Monero and other privacy coins. I wouldn't be surprised if further regulation comes to stamp out privacy coins further.

I don't think their price will increase in value substantially anymore. There will always be a use / group of people using coins like Monero but I don't think mass adoption will ever come to them (so no "price moon"). Would love to be proven wrong.
