Before crypto, I thought 50K was a lot of money. After crypto, now 500K feels like barely enough money.

Let me start the post by saying I don’t have 50K lol, i barely have anything, but crypto has made me realize how much I could have if I keep investing.

Before I went into crypto, I always thought 50K was a lot of money and that it was life changing enough to be able to do whatever I wanted. I really never cared about my finances and never even considered retirement (as a 20 year old living in their parents’ home). After being involved into crypto, I feel like 50K is enough maybe to live for a few years, but now I realize I can’t even properly buy a home, maybe a car.

Now I feel like 50K is an opportunity to invest in safer assets to increase my possibilities at a better future, if I ever reach that amount. And after thinking for a while and seeing the amounts that individuals invest, my perception has changed drastically and now I feel like 500K is enough money to live a comfortable life for 10 years or maybe buy a budget-home for myself, and that would be enough to change my life. In my country, I don’t need a million USD to retire and live comfortably.

I’m really glad I went into crypto, otherwise I wouldn’t have realized the importance of saving, and would probably have spent every cent into new gadgets or useless technology. I’ve realized that the newest iPhones won’t justify the amount that I could invest to reach my newfound goals.
