Ben McKenzie is going to war with Crypto - releasing a book and doing interviews against it that will probably get the attention of the general public.

Ben McKenzie - Best known for his role in The O.C Television drama is going to war with crypto currencies.

He has a book called "Easy Money" coming out in July and it's already at the top of some preorder list.

Book Description:

In Easy Money, McKenzie enlists the help of journalist Jacob Silverman for a caper and exposé that points in shock to the climactic final days of cryptocurrency now upon us. Weaving together stories of average traders and victims, colorful crypto “visionaries,” Hollywood’s biggest true believers, anti-crypto whistleblowers, and government agents searching for solutions at the precipice of a major crash, Easy Money is an on-the-ground look at a perfect storm of 2008 Housing Bubble–level irresponsibility and criminal fraud potentially ten times more devastating than Bernie Madoff.

While promoting his up coming book he is also doing countless interviews where he criticizes crypto, bitcoin and NFTs.

Yesterday he went on Real Time with Bill Maher, the discussion included the large amounts of energy bitcoin uses, how money is based on trust but bitcoin is trustless so it can't be money, bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme, why crypto currencies are Securities and of course monkey pictures.

Ben has been an outspoken critic of crypto for the last two years after discovering it at some point in 2021, so he has a whole two years of expertise on the subject. He watched Gary Gensler's videos on blockchain.

from Wikipedia

McKenzie attributes his initial interest in the subject to his undergraduate degree in economics and friends' interest in cryptocurrency, as well as coursework on the blockchain from MIT professor and SEC chairman Gary Gensler and Capital in the Twenty-First Century by economist Thomas Piketty

Many might think why bring attention to this book or this crypto critic? It's important to know what critics are saying about bitcoin and crypto in general if you want to be able to defend your position with family and friends that are curious. This book and actor will get far more attention than most pro bitcoin evangelist and will also probably reach people who don't normally follow any financial news as we can see with his appearance on Real Time with Bill Bahr.
