Binance might be purposefully manipulating their announcement page, here's the evidence I have:

As some of you may know, I like to code crypto trading algorithms, and to share the source code and my results with you.

As part of my most recent project, I built a crypto trading bot that looks at the announcement page and checks whether Binance has announced that they will list a new coin soon. If that's true the bot would buy this coin on gate .io.

It works like this because I've observed that coins spike up in price upon listing. Have a look at the time this coin spiked, and the announcement timestamp:

You can clearly see in the image above that the coin started pumping on other exchanges at 03:36 - exactly when the announcement was made.

Now here's the thing though - It's actually possible that Binance is backdating this announcement timestamp. Accoring to the bot that me and everyone else who happened to run my bot at this time, the bot detected this announcement 5 minutes later at 03:41.

Everyone who was running my bot at that time confirmed the same thing. I've inspected my code and there's nothing to show that it would have been delayed. The bot was checking this page normally every 10 seconds.

Not a lot of results online, but sure enough someone came accross the same issue 5 months ago.

I don't want to accuse Binance of anything but it's interesting that the coin peaks within the first 5 minutes, and everyone else who enters past this time, they are not able to make a profit on this.

Someone must be making a profit, the question is who? If you came across this issue, please let me know what your conclusion was.

In anticipation of another "delay" the bot now has a lot more logging installed so we can all understand what exactly is going on on their page. (thank you to everyone who contributed to the codebase!)
