Bitcoin is time preserved.

Hello there! Just some things I'd like to say about a chapter I really liked from the bitcoin standard.

Probably one of the most important facts for me when people ask me why Bitcoin is valuable for me.

Most of you guys probably did read the bitcoin standard from saifedean ammous.
In one of the Chapters he talks about the human time.
For a long time, our personal lifetime was one of the only scarce things in Life we know about 100%.
Its also the most valuable we have and we know it will always end probably after 70-90 years for the most people.

When we go to work everyday we use our lifetime, our most valuable asset, and do something we learned, in exchange for fiat-money so that we can afford housing and food and several other things.

What we get for our lifetime in exchange is fiat-money. Our lifetime is so to say stored in a medium that gets printed and distributed by our government. When the government is creating more fiat-money by printing, or the banks by creating new credits, every single piece of it loses its purchasing power.

You get robbed not only of your purchasing power, but of your way more valuable lifetime that you once spent in your life in exchange for that fiat money.

I have the feeling that not many people are able to understand or realize that fact.

As saifedean ammous stated, Bitcoin seems to be the second thing in human history besides our lifetime that we actually really 100% know its finite and limited.

For me, it just makes sense then, that I want to preserve my lifetime in something, that I know we cannot easily create more of without energy&time. And in something that is truly limited and scarce just like my time on earth.

No matter how many more people want to mine bitcoin because its profitable, you have a pretty much fixed blocktime (adjustment every 2 weeks) and a fixed amount of coins you get per day.

For the first time in human history we have a tool to preserve our time in with a known fixed limit and a known supply rate.

I'm just thankful for that and it gives me so much peace of mind when I'm going to work everyday knowing that I won't get robbed anymore of the time and energy I put into my work.

Thanks to bitcoin I'm not only able to beat inflation since some years, but to save up money in a way that will probably give me the possibility of being financial independent and retire long before I could normally retire from work.

So in the end, philosophically I like to say, by buying bitcoin I'm not only preserving my lifetime, but I'm buying myself even more time.
