This is my first post and since I have no one to talk to about it, I decided to post it here and please don’t criticize me, I know I was very stupid, but please give me tips on how to do it correctly. (I’m from Brazil so forgive me if my English is horrible)
During the Bitcoin boom, around 2020, I decided to invest all the savings I had been accumulating since I was 14, hoping to see it skyrocket. I gradually bought in until I had a decent amount in Bitcoin (nothing extraordinary, but it was significant for me). Then came a drop, but people said, "Stay calm, it will rise again," so I left everything there expecting a return.
However, not everything went as expected. The investment didn't rise as I envisioned, and frustration hit hard. Nonetheless, I kept my bitcoins in the wallet. Later, I entered college, and expenses started tightening. My parents couldn't afford my studies, and finding a job with a course demanding 12 hours a day wasn't easy. Besides, taking on part-time work at that point in college wasn't feasible.
Result: I had to sell my bitcoins. And, you know, by that time, I had already lost a considerable amount because Bitcoin took a significant dive. However, I had no choice; I needed the money to cover my college expenses. Now, I see Bitcoin rising again, and there's that lingering thought of "if things were different, I could have had a decent amount now." It's regrettable, but what can you do, right? Nowadays, Bitcoin has become a traumatic experience for me. I can't bring myself to buy it anymore, and I shouldn't have done so without thoroughly studying it beforehand.
