Bitcoin Shrimps and Crab issuance jumped an record of +100% each over the last year, while Whale issuance decreased by 60%! THIS is bullish.

There has always been some critic at the high amount Whales (at least 1k BTC) that are present in Crypto and how they control a relatively large amount of the total supply, with that also always came the idea of an Redistribution. Thats where the coins from the Whales would be redistributed to Shrimps and (less than 1 BTC) and perhaps Crabs (1 to 10 BTC. This time it may just be happening…

In face of this bear market, over the last year there was an interesting trend to be seen as addresses holding higher amounts of BTC decreased while addresses with lower amounts increased, which is an unusual trend especially in a bear market. On-chain metrics show that the issuance of Shrimps and Crabs increased substantially while they got this money likely from Whales and Exchange Outflows.

As we can see, the Crabs issuance increased the most over the year with a massive 120% and Shrimps also with a big 107% of issuance increase. This is a new RECORD from previous times and very exceptional as bear markets actually have smaller addresses decreasing, instead this time they increased in record-speed.

This Redistribution mostly comes from Whales and also record Exchange Outflows this bear market. Whales issuance decreased by a massive 60% and Exchange Outflows by a massive 170%. There was truly some Redistribution to smaller wallets this time which will only bode well for the future of Crypto as the influence of Whales seems to be decreasing and smaller buyers even have to conviction to stay for a bear market and accumulate.
