For me, the problem with these bullshit articles isn't so much the fomo it creates, it's that the very people who make these lofty claims never back it up with actual information on the 'how'.
These articles are all the same... "X coin/blockchain will be X value/popular over the next few years". Mike mentions in this specific article that adoption is around the corner for big firms which insinuates that being the catalyst for growth but why have they not adopted it at all and what has to change for them to suddenly change their minds?
This is why I cannot take crypto/blockchain seriously. The very people most invested in it cannot even begin to provide a basic foundation on mainstream adoption. You cannot just throw terms like 'replace current financial industry' and 'currency of the future' around without providing a framework on how the implementation would actually work. And that is always missing.
