Blockchain gaming has been very underwhelming so far...

Even though it's still in relatively early days, it can definitely be said it has been quite underwhelming and disappointing so far with most crypto gaming projects so far being very lazy, uninspiring cashgrabs that led to nowhere and developed no active userbase. Projects like Sandbox and Decentraland had a massive amount of money behind it and nowadays they have no active userbase because they're awful. Ubisoft has been planning to launch their first web3 game in few months, so we will see how that will pan out, but so far there hasn't been a great amount of truly great blockchain games.

Probably the one that has the most active userbase and actually decent user and critical reviews has been Gods Unchained, the card game that's also been released on Epic store quite recently. Blockchain gaming has been constantly hyped over the last few years as future of gaming, but so far it definitely doesn't look like it unfortunately, and gaming devs would have to step up pretty hard to make first actually great game that could take blockchain gaming to another level (by incorporating blockchain aspects of it properly alongside with a good gaming experience) which could boost crypto space even more to try to get into this big piece of market.
