Boba Network (Optimistic Rollups) will be launching September 20, 2021!

What is Boba Network

Boba Network is OMG’s L2 Optimistic Rollup Solution. It is similar to Optimism and Arbitrum, but added features including native fast exits, staking, hybrid compute, NFT minting and bridges, and a token. Optimistic Rollups are entirely secured by Ethereum and are considered real L2 solutions.

Having multiple rollups is good for ETH and competition!

Is there a token?

Fees on Boba Network are paid in ETH.

The OMG token will act initially as a governance then potentially a staking token later. OMG tokens can allow holders/stakers to act as incentivized sequencers/verifiers once implemented, similar to how ETH stakers become validators. The token will allow the network to be more decentralized!
