A question on Bitcoin mining theory.
Suppose there are two mining devices that run in the same mining pool. Also suppose that they both are associated with the same BTC reward payout address (i.e. the address where the block reward would be sent in case a miner nanages to mine a block).
If the coinbase transaction of these two mining devices is the same (due to the same BTC payout address) does that mean that these two miners are spending resources on solving the same block thereby wasting resources?
For that reason, is it not more optimal for them to have different payout addresses?
