Can you safely get your BTC wallet address from just seed phrase words?

I was rummaging through my safe and I found a set of words I had printed back in 2018 to keep safe, but ignorantly did not store the address with it. I assume it is for my BTC wallet because I had put “bitcoin” at the top. Is it possible / safe to get my public address from the seed phrase? I see tools online that claim to be able to do this sort of thing, but I am not as familiar with crypto as I once was. I know scams are everywhere, so I am coming here to get an idea of my options. Basically I am just trying to see how much BTC is in my wallet for the time being but not sure how to do that without my public address
