Ive been doing some research on the lightning network please correct any mistakes / misconceptions.
1: It’s possible to send bitcoin on the BTC network to a LN directly (no intermediary such as a DEX or a CEX)
2: It’s not possible to send bitcoin on the LN network to the BTC network directly
3: The only way to get BTC from LN to BTC network is either a DEX or a CEX
4: Maximum of 0.1 BTC can be sent in a single transaction on the LN network
Conclusion.
Store your HODL portfolio of BTC on the BTC network
Store small amounts of BTC on the LN network (for spending purposes)
LN network is not designed to HODL a large portfolio.
