Coin Bureau retracts mis-information on Algorand

I love Coin Bureau, he got me into crypto and anyone who hasnt seen his videos, you're missing out. Also love to seem him retracting misinformation and admitting fault.

Hey Guys, As you know, I'm big on doing research, and I always do as much research as I can before I push out a video.

Even then though, I don't always get it right, and this was the case with Algorand. I mentioned in my Solana vs. Algorand video that accelerated vesting had not yet finished when it had actually finished shortly before the video went out. More importantly though, I said that Algorand didn't currently have any dApps, and that was completely false.

​

Although Algorand's dApp ecosystem is quite small compared to other smart contract cryptos, it does exist, and there are actually some pretty cool dApps on it too. The hype hasn't arrived there yet, and that's good news for anyone who wants to get in early.

​

Algorand's dApp experience isn't all that bad. All of Algorand's 3 dApp compatible wallets are pretty robust, and the only gripe I had was that you constantly have to enter your password. It's also a very different experience than using Metamask. As far as dApps go, I demoed three in this tutorial: the Tinyman DEX, Yieldly Finance and the Algo Gems NFT marketplace.

Before you ask, yes, I do show you how to mint your very own Algorand NFT, and it's damn easy! I know that there are many more Algorand projects waiting to launch too, and we're probably going to see a few of them go live in the coming weeks. This makes it the perfect time for me to release this tutorial, and I hope you enjoy it!
