Received this in an email today, clearly fraudulent and of course the actual site isn't asking me to update anything. This has all the obvious signs without the usual grammatical and spelling errors: Embedded "links to the site", missing phone number, sent same day as fake deadline to respond, no small print saying never to reply to click links from, or give info to any emails from Coinbase. Get familiar with this as any coming bull run is going to bring fraudsters oozing out of the woodwork.
If you get this or similar, avoid it like the plague. Best wishes.
Example below
"Please confirm your personal account info
Dear customers,
At Coinbase, weβre required by financial regulations to keep up-to-date info about our customers. This helps prevent fraud and keeps our customers safe.
It has been a while since we last collected your info, so we're asking that you please sign in to Coinbase and confirm that it is up to date.
It takes a couple of minutes for most people to confirm the information.
If you donβt confirm by Aug 22 2024, your account will be restricted to withdrawing funds only.
