Comparison of the Major Networks for Dapps?

Hello! I would just like to get a little bit of information about the major reasons people choose to build their DApps or NFT projects on different networks. Here is my current understanding:

-At the moment, the major networks most people would choose to build their DApp or Smart Contract service on are Ethereum, Polygon, Binance, Solana, and Cardano

-Polygon would generally be the go-to for smaller projects or high-frequency transactions due to low gas fees

-Binance is generally a faster and cheaper network (lower fees) compared to ethereum, but more centralized (only 21 nodes always)

-Solana uses a different language for smart contracts and is potentially less desirable for developers? (I forgot where I read this, would love more clarification). It is also far less established and has less support/compatibility.

-Cardano does not yet have support for smart contracts but will soon (is this correct?)

-Ethereum. is fantastic, but relatively slow and very high gas fees (for the time being).

So based on my current knowledge (please correct any and all of it!), it seems that polygon is the way to go for projects where you want the lowest gas fees, atleast for the time being. Solana could be worth learning, but is not nearly established enough for an enterprise product. Binance may be the go-to choice for something like a ERC-20 token or something where speed matters a good amount. And cardano should be on my radar for the future...? And ethereum should not even be considered for a DApp unless it was some scaling solution, simply due to speed and fees.

This is my limited understanding right now and I would LOVE some more clarification on these networks, any other networks I am missing, and any drawbacks I may or may not be aware about.

This is specifically for DApp development, both for personal projects and enterprise/commercial use. Anything from NFT(s) to a DAO to airdrops to other ERC standards to Airdrops, Breeding, DApp interaction, etc.
