Crypto accounts and spam calls?

So years back I was messing around with trading, stocks and eventually some crypto. I ended up making a plethora of accounts to check out different platforms and brokerages. This was spread out over time, idk, say a year. At the same time I would go through some bursts of spam calls and always wondered if there was a connection.

Anyways fast forward and I decided to clean house. Empty the scraps off the table from all the different platforms. Logged into 4 of my old crypto accounts (no brokerages yet). 14 spam calls the first day. I usually average a few a month maximum. The few I answered, the line was silent. Everything else I have sent to google call screening. Still silent calls. Has anyone else experienced this?? And why silent, what is the point?

Plus side: it was like I found 20 bucks in an old pair of jeans. But more. So far it was worth the hassle. Just needed to rant, but also genuinely curious if anyone else has experienced this?
