Recent events on Reddit have shown us that the apps which use crypto can be changed in an instant by the devs. E.g. if you have NFT game characters on-chain then the devs of that game can decide to remove all appearances of those NFTs in an instant. Then you are left with the NFT on the chain but no longer in the game.
Vitalik has spoken about how his item being removed from a game got him more interested in blockchain technology but even now we still have the same problem.
Other examples where this could happen: 1, A video sharing website where people get paid crypto for views. 2, A bug bounty system which pays in a specific crypto. 3, A file hosting system where the files are stored in a distributed manner but the interface is on a centralized app.
This is a major problem. What can be done to solve it?
