Crypto - Lying to loved ones ????

So just wanted to have some discussion over how much you tell your wife's, partners or parents regarding your crypto.

No one knows I have any crypto or that I use this sub. My wife thinks I earn a few hundred pounds less a month and that between daily expenses and monthly bills, I don't have much left at the end or the month. The reality is that over the past 6 months I've been putting all my spare money into Crypto. I also invested most of my savings in crypto but do have an emergency fund.

We have separate finances but also a joint account for bills. She never sees my personal account, luckily, but if she found out about my crypto, I genuinely don't think she would understand or be 1% happy about it.

Wife has her own account and buys her own shit like clothes and lunches out etc. I don't and buy crypto instead.

I was in a shop today buying some stuff which I put on a 0% credit card which I use for purchases anyway. Wife asked why I was using the credit card and I made an excuse about earning some cashback. The reality is that I spent more than I should have on crypto this month and I'll have to use next month's spare money to pay off the credit card. I could use my savings but im keeping them earmarked for an emergency fund. She also asked about savings and I had to quickly change the conversation.

Crypto is making me a bit of a horrible person and I feel bad for it. It's too late to tell the wife I've spent so much money on crypto but hopefully one day she will reap the rewards when I am able to make some profit and cash out.

Please don't post specifics or amounts, I'm just interested if all your partners know or if your a devious person like I am ????

Note - its reckless but its money I can afford to loose. I earn enough to get by if it all crashed tomorrow. I'd obviously cry and be upset for long enough but this isn't a sorrow post, I was genuinely interested in what everyone else's situation was.
