Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of Binance, has started a four-month prison sentence in California.
He becomes the wealthiest person to serve time in a US federal prison as he reports for his 4-month sentence. He will be at the minimum-security prison in Lompoc, where inmates work on horse farms and spend most of their day outdoors (what a joke).
This follows his guilty plea in November 2023 to charges of facilitating money laundering through the Binance platform.
