Nouns NFT is a NFT project that auctions off a new avatar every day. The proceeds of these auctions funnel to the DAO which votes on initiatives to proliferate the brand. One of them has been to create eSports teams that are governed by a group of members and ultimately controlled by the DAO. The DotA2 Team has placed in the winners bracket for this years TI (largest DotA Tournament in the world) with a prize pool of over 3 million USD and counting.
We'll see how far they can go starting tomorrow with the opening rounds of the tournament (r/dota2), being in the winners bracket gives them a good chance of placing and taking home some decent scratch. It's nice to see a DAO being successful at organizing a team, gives me some hope for the future.
