Deactivated my account. Reactivating 2 weeks later. Not letting me do it without a non-US passport.

[preface: I'm an American citizen living in China for 5 years] So a few weeks ago I was notified of some phishing attempt, and the site recommended I disable my account for a while. I did so, and now am looking to get back in to view my funds. I answer a few security questions, and on the last page it asks me to upload my passport.

USA is not on that list. China and Hong Kong are.

So I have no idea what to do. Have 2 options:

- use a Hong Kong friends' passport instead, he'll pretend he's me, withdraw and GTFO

- use my own Chinese work permit card ID, which is still an ID of sorts

I feel like I can only do one or the other, because they'll detect risky business and probably enforce further restrictions. My only worry is I don't know how much of my own personal information is on the website already to be matched with the passport bio page. I've got LOTS of ETH on there and based on what I'm reading here there's not much hope ;_;
