There aim is to provide data security, democratized data for training AI and a file storage system for Dapps and web2 apps. But would adoption follow through? I am sharing some insights that I have gathered. I currently think that there is lack of investor interest in this sector and it will only follow through if storage adoption shows big signs of growth and revenue generation. 1) Revenue - Revenue is far away from centralized systems but Filecoin leads the pack with $13.3 million in revenues. 2) Usage- There has been a sharp increase of 5000x in storage capacity. 3) Token price performance- The price of top coins have not performed well due to inflation reasons and no investor interest.
