I've seen a lot of people here talk about cryptos and "mislabeling" them. Maybe some of you don't know that there is a difference between the two and it's very simple.
Coins are any cryptocurrency that has a standalone independent blockchain (Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP)
Tokens are cryptocurrencies that do not have their own blockchain but exist on another blockchain. As they exist on another blockchain, they benefit from its technology and don't have to invest in creating their own infrastructure. (ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain)
That's it! Now you can be a snob about it and correct people...if you choose to.
