Do coinbase wallets and ledger support ETH over polygon network?

New to understanding some of these things so I do apologise if I don't get all the terminology exactly correct. Please do educate me if so.

Recently made a post on transferring Eth and bitcoin from coinbase exchange to my wallet. Either coinbase wallet or ledger. It was suggested by someone to send Eth over the polygon network. Coinbase exchange does provide this option, but asks me to confirm my wallet address supports this token. How can I check this? I don't mind testing on a small amount, but I'm worried if it fails I'll be stuck in limbo waiting for a while before realising the money is gone. And also I'd rather not lose any money haha.

And if anyone has advice about sending the BTC too, would be appreciated but not pressure as I get this is an Ethereum sub.
