Do not "rectify your wallet". It is a scam.

All Cryptocurrencies

Few hours ago I made a post about binance's bad behavior in disabling withdrawals for certain assets. From this post someone contacted me saying that I should "rectify my wallet" to be able to withdraw.I knew it was going to be a scam, but when I googled it I saw almost nothing about it, so I decided to follow it a bit to see what the modus operandi is.

You can see in the images how they do this kind of scam. I can't show the username of this rat to not break the rules of the subeddit - but I want to point out that his post history is that of a normal person and the account has been created several months ago. He looks like a random guy and he is a scammer.

Steps in case imgur deletes the screenshots of its server.

  1. You're told that you need to rectify your wallet to be able to do something
  2. You're sent a link to a website.
  3. There, it requires to connect your wallet and then there's a button to "rectify". It's gonna request for all kind of permissions.

I leave this post as a record in case anyone googles this when told to 'rectify their wallet'.

(repost because didn't hid usernames properly)
