Don't be afraid to take profits

I read a quote that stuck with me.

You have 3 bull runs to really figure it out.

Your first, you're too new. Your second, too greedy. Your third, you can finally make moves.

I've been around since 2017. I've seen extreme fear and extreme greed. I've seen people gain it all and lose it all. Through all of this, I HODLed. Why not? It's preached by this sub all the time, right?

Problem is, that notion gets too ingrained in your mind. You HODL to the top, it starts to fall, you HODL expecting it to go up again... it doesn't. You HODL all the way back down.

The thing with crypto, as we've seen, is it typically follows a historical pattern. A pump, a correction, an alt pump, a crash. But it happens again and again. If you miss one, you can catch the next train.

Try not to sell at a loss. This is good advice. Don't get scared. Think rationally. But you have to know when you take profits.

Trust your gut. Don't rely on others. Don't rely on Reddit. If your coin is blowing up and you've made enough profit that could seriously help you out, take that profit. I recently did this when one of my coins temporarily mooned and it seriously helped me out these past few months.

I still kept 90% of my overall investments in place, which I will always recommend doing. Don't take everything unless it's super super life changing money for you. Even still, probably worth leaving a little around.

Anywho, this has been my little PSA. Don't get too greedy. Take your profits. Trust your instinct.
