Ethereum’s decision in heading toward a rollup-centric roadmap will end up shutting down all the criticism regarding its scalability issues

Sure, Ethereum as an independent blockchain on its own will not see any form of internal upgrades or advancements. However, what Ethereum is essentially doing with this rollup-centric roadmap is basically integrating scaling solutions into Ethereum and making them an integral, non-fractional part of the Ethereum ecosystem in a way that both the blockchain and scaling solutions become one part that is inseparable.

In laymen’s terms, scaling solutions don’t just become a “part” of Ethereum, they end up being Ethereum itself.

This makes everything A LOT more interesting for the future of Ethereum.
Ethereum already has top-notch security and decentralization and now it's helping build the infrastructure for scaling solutions to start taking over the scalability development.

This is all a great incentive for scaling solutions overall and we can already start to see this through the aggressive push from all Ethereum scaling solutions to up their development and release new projects and scaling products.

Starkware has some very interesting technologies that are being developed and Loopring has also gained a lot of hype, especially after partnerships with GameStop.

Polygon also comes directly to mind as they’ve been releasing a lot of new scaling products most recent of which is Polygon Avail which was released today. It will push L2 rollups a step further by not only taking executions off-chain but by also giving enabling data to be stored on Polygon Avail which will eliminate 80-95% of their cost.

I know that there’s a lot of rivalry between scaling solution and L2 communities however they all have one thing in common and that is to make Ethereum a better place, and honestly, I’m in for that

Every ETH competitor right now has only one selling point really which is scalability. Well, what would happen if Ethereum finally solved that by implementing the rollup-centric roadmap flawlessly? It would literally make all other ETH competitors obsolete since Ethereum will basically have everything these competitors are offering but this time with the added benefit of built-in scalability.
