Former crypto skeptic, now have embraced BTC

I used to be the usual crypto-hater. Thought it was a ponzi scheme, thought it was bad for the environment, thought it was an ancap wet dream, etc. But I think I've been convinced to flip flop and fully embrace it. I originally dipped into certain proof of stake cryptos here and there because they were "eco-friendly," and to make a quick buck. But now I've seen a few reasons to think BTC is worth putting faith into, and rebuttals for most arguments against it:

- Stocks are as much of a ponzi scheme right now as BTC is thought to be. General stock market slices are no longer a full reflection of economic development, and now is addicted to unnecessary government propping up. BTC meanwhile is getting in on a new age of finance- slowly people around the world like me are jumping on.

-BTC is not bad for the environment and may even be good for it. Lots of BTC mining is done in areas with large amounts of renewable energy, especially hydroelectric and geothermal power. Power consumption as flexible as crypto mining gives an opportunity for profit in solar and wind, incentivizing infrastructure and innovation, as it's now doing in Texas.

-BTC is apolitical, or at least can appeal to every political alignment. Leftists can appreciate the immunity to inflation it gives workers, and conservatives can appreciate the power it takes away from governments. It isn't about struggling for power, but taking control of one's own finances.

-BTC overcomes unnecessary mediums in payments. Be it international currency controls or discriminating payment systems, it allows payments to be personal rather than monitored by unaccountable entities. Transaction power costs are certainly high, but that can gradually improve with technology.

I'm keeping it mostly a secret though from my friends, since they would disavow me if they knew this. Either way, I see it as a viable long-term investment, and hope more and more people like me in the future see the light.
