I've been racking my brain about the timing of China's total ban on crypto. I get they've done it before, but with the Evergrande FUD behemoth stalking the markets, why pivot to crypto?
My theory is that wealthy Chinese have been hiding a shit ton of money in crypto. Just ask Jack Ma about why. Maybe things are really bad in China and the CCP is trying to scare hidden money out of the shadows.
To me this makes a lot of sense. Things in China are bad, there's a boat load of hidden wealth the CCP can't get, and the bills are due.
