Happy 13th Birthday Bitcoin.

13 years ago today, the first entry is written to the Bitcoin ledger. Satoshi Nakamoto officially mined the Bitcoin Genesis block. “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks." Hidden in the genesis block- mined on January 3, 2009 - is a clue. This wasn't a reaction to a surveillance scandal, but rather a reaction to the inadequacy and injustice of central banking and fiat currency.

The new digital monetary system he/she/they launched is now more valuable than all but 13 national currencies.
