Help understanding Blockstream Jade

Hi, i have set up a new Block stream jade wallet. I installed the green app on my phone. In the green app i click on the Jade, On the jade i enter my password and the passphrase to unlock it and then can access the wallet on the green app. If i'm logged into the jade on the app and turn it off i can still use the receive function on green to send out a wallet address. Shouldn't the app disconnect when i turn off the Jade or am i missing something? Cheers.
