Here is what you do:
You seek out locations of stranded waste energy. This is energy that can not be utilized or stored because there are no consumers. You typically find this with renewable energy plants because they produce when the wind blows or the sun shines and not when the customer turns on the microwave.
You start mining Bitcoin with that energy
This will do two things:
It will take away profits from miners who use fossil fuels to mine, because there is a finite amount of coins to be mined in a given time (~900 BTC per day at the moment). You will start to push them out of the market and make Bitcoin greener
At the same time you will make the power plant more profitable, because without someone consuming their energy they would have to stop their production. More profit means they can faster expand their operation and build out more renewable energy plants.
Bonus points:
Reach out to the companies that build renewable and get your miners on site so they can rake in profits while building the plant, before they are even on the grid.
Realize that this is already happening and your stupid campaign works directly against the goals of your organization. You fell for the FUD campaign of a shitcoiner or a central banker who is currently crapping their pants because they can't finance their wars without the power to print money.
Just in case this was lost on you, this will actually be profitable. Everyone can do this, there is no excuse not to do it unless you are just talking and don't actually want to take action saving the climate.
A word to the "but hurr durr, climate change is a hoax"-people:
This works no matter if you believe in climate change or not. Do you think there will be oil forever? You will be glad we have enough electricity, sourced in a decentralized fashion like this if the oil runs out or gets too expensive.
