Will Bitcoin make for a safer and more cooperative world? Some thoughts below. I'm still wrapping my head around Bitcoin and the implications.

In the real world, we can think of the rewards for winning as things like favorable outcomes in court cases, gaining control over confiscated property, having exclusive rights to certain industries, collecting taxes, creating inflation, receiving tribute payments, or enjoying other political advantages obtained through forceful means. It's like the saying goes, "To the victor go the spoils." But when economic conflicts escalate, there are also negative consequences such as unfavorable legal decisions, expenses related to legal proceedings, increased military spending, wasted time, tribute payments, enslavement, or loss of resources.

However, Bitcoin offers a unique advantage as it is nearly immune to legal decisions, government authority, forced taxation, property confiscation, and inflation. With a monetary system that is secure against theft, the rewards for winning in zero-sum games at various levels—between individuals, in socioeconomic interactions, and even at the geopolitical scale decrease a lot.

In summary, in our real economic world, winning often entails gaining various rewards through forceful means. However, Bitcoin's unique properties render it resistant to legal actions, confiscation, and inflation, which diminishes the incentives for engaging in zero-sum competitions. As a result, adopting peaceful and cooperative strategies becomes more beneficial, leading to a decline in aggressive approaches. This shift in dynamics favors the emergence of greater desire for independence.
