Different people address it differently. Some call it emotional detachment. Others call it stoicism. Yet others go to the extent of calling it ‘having no emotions’. One thing’s for sure: the ability to regulate and manage our emotions is one of the most important traits of crypto investing.
Having an armour over our emotions prevents us from falling prey to FOMO and YOLO as we don’t give in to herd mentality and chase the latest pumps but instead, strictly invest money we can afford to lose. Holding the reins over our feelings arms us with the fortitude to stay disciplined to our DCA plan instead of scrambling like a headless chicken, investing here and there with no clear goal in sight.
But how is it easy not to get our emotions stirred? We are human, after all. We look at the charts ever so often - to keep track of market trends and price movements. We check out the market sentiment on this sub because sometimes we get informed of news by other users here faster than by those crypto exchanges. We interact with crypto investors elsewhere - on Telegram, Discord, Twitter.
How do you stay sane in the midst of all this noise? How do you discipline yourself to detach to attach again to the crypto space for the long term?
