How many of you played RuneScape?

I’m not sure if many of you have played the game RuneScape.

I started playing RuneScape Classic when I was a kid and continued playing for about 10 years.

The funny thing is, I never really played the game to “max out stats” or “PK” in the wild.

I bought and sold items and tried to accumulate “rare items” like the infamous Santa hat, Party Hats “Phats” Easter eggs, Pumpkins, ect. I stacked these items hard!

This reminds me a lot like trading crypto and probably plays a huge factory in why I trade stocks and crypto now. I only realized that while writing this post.

I could never pin point where this idea of “accumulating coins” came from, besides the obvious aspects.

Back in the day, lots of players would spend their days mining ores, cutting trees and collecting GP. RuneScape money. They would then sell this gold on eBay. Lots of people were scammed in the process.

Imagine if we had massive games like RuneScape today where players can actually own all of their items and freely trade or sell these item for cryptocurrencies usuing blockchain technology and smart contracts.

I’m getting older now and haven’t played RuneScape for years, but I absolutely love the idea of this and would for sure be on board to start playing a new game of similar proportions that implemented block chain technologies.

How old are you guys, would you play games that implement block chain technology and more important, how many of you played RuneScape?
