How not to have regrets in Crypto (The theory of “some”)

Bitcoin Reddit

You know the stories where people say “oh I invested in Bitcoin at $1,000 but sold when it hit $7,000”. Or the ATH classic “My friend told me to invest at $500, is it too late now?”. We’ve seen the same regrets over and over again plaguing this sub.

Here’s a solution. Say you wanna hold for at least 5 years, but you’re afraid your paper hands mentality will take over and you’ll sell early or not enter at all. Here’s what you do:

  1. If you DO NOT have bitcoin, invest some. Waiting for prices to go down is a fool's game and you will be a regretter in a few years. If prices actually do go down, you can always invest some more.
  2. If you DO have bitcoin, only sell some. Emptying your bags completely or waiting for a $1M BTC you will be a regretter in a few years. If prices go up, great you still have some bitcoin. If not, great you still took someprofits.

You will never make the perfect choice. The key is to get 50% right, making you feel 100% better.

EDIT: Apparently there's an investing science around this very concept right here lol. Thanks u/galavanta for the tip
