So I have been trading bitcoin futures ETFs in canada through HSBC for a while now, but all of the sudden I am no longer able to do it, every time I try to buy a bitcoin ETF I get this message: "your security may be related to crypto assets, and as such HSBC does not allow certain listings that have any activity relating to securities or financial instruments linked or otherwise highly correlated to the value of cryptocurrencies", I also get this whenever I try to buy ANY crypto related asset (Coinbase, Microstrategy etc... ). I contacted the bank and they told me they just banned any sort of trading with anything related to crypto.... so what's the point of a spot ETF if then institutions starts to ban its use? hopefully it's only HSBC, they have always been extremely crypto unfriendly since the beginning. Time to change bank :)
