I almost just lost an Ethereum by being stupid

So a friend was staying over at my house and he used my school laptop to play Axie. Meaning he had to log into his Ronin wallet, which is a browser extension. End of the night we can't figure out how to remove his account so we just remove the extension instead. I had completely forgotten it removes the extension from all your devices.

I had been putting off properly securing my seed on paper because I'm lazy. I thought I had my seed in my phone gallery and on a text file on my pc. I was wrong, both seeds in my gallery were empty test wallets, and the txt file was gone. My notes contained seeds too, which were empty again.

I was pretty broken at that point, slowly accepting how being stupid and lazy had potentially destroyed a good chunk of my crypto holdings.

Saw a txt file on my desktop named "metamask wallet". Thought it'd be false hope. But that was it, I got my wallet back.

If my hard drive were to break I'd also be f*cked, and I'm going to do things differently from now.
