Hi r/Cryptocurrency!

r/Cryptocurrency recently hosted me for one of their Live Q&A sessions and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Many of you have reached out to me directly via message or chat and, while I've tried to answer as much as I can, I think it would be helpful to the community if I host an ongoing AMA thread that could be a resource for general questions/answers that multiple people in the community might benefit from seeing down the line.

About me: I'm a US-based attorney practicing cryptocurrency tax law. I've been in the crypto space as an investor since 2013 and have been along for the ride ever since. I have witnessed the ups and downs of the crypto markets & regulatory confusion along with the rest of you and now have the privilege of practicing law in a field that I am passionate about.

I will try to answer your questions as they come in, but please be patient as I might need a few days before I can respond. I'll try to circle back regularly though for as long as the questions come in. I can't provide any specific legal or tax advice, so if you have some complex situation that you need help with, please don't be offended if I don't have an answer for you.
