I built an open-source crypto trading algorithm that analyses Reddit posts sentiment from relevant subreddits

I'm pretty excited with this project and wanted to share it with you guys.

This is a trading bot that analyses reddit post sentiment and automatically buys the coins found in as keywords in the analysed posts.

It has a sentiment analysis incorporated that checks if the sentiment of the title and body is positive before buying. The bot calculates and average sentiment of all posts analysed that match the given keywords.

It also comes with several customisation options so you can choose how you want to use this:

1. Which subreddits it should look for (by default it checks /r/Cryptocurrency and a couple others)
2. How to sort posts (hot by default)
3. How many posts from each sub will be analysed (by default 10)
4. What keywords it should be looking out for (default: Bitcoin and Ethereum)

You can also specify how often to check for posts, as well as the size of each trade placed.

I know that you probably won't be comfortable just running this live out-of-the-box so I implemented a test-mode and you can see the transactions it makes.

I'm using the praw library to connect to the Reddit API, and the nltk library for sentiment analysis.

It's more of an experimental bot and I'm still trying to figure out how to make better use of the sentiment signals, but it works and I thought you might find it interesting.
