I think the most under-considered element in the international community's response to the war in Ukraine is the need to bolster and amplify civil disobedience and activism inside of Russia itself; and cryptocurrency is the perfect tool to do that.
If enough people in Russia drop out of the Ruble/Fiat system, which can be confiscated on demand y the government to fund the war, we can incentivize the regular citizens of Russia to starve the war-crazy government without punishing themselves.
Ultimately, my idea is to launch a fund that will cover the costs - in crypto - for anyone in Russia that resigns from their position as an act of civil disobedience and to reach out to reputable NGOs in Russia like OVD.info to help administer the payment of funds.
I've looked at creating some basic NFTs to put up on partybid for a fundraiser, but it costs $100+ to do that and I haven't found any mainstream crowdfunding alternatives either.
Is this even a good idea? Will anyone support it? Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do?
I'm desperately trying to do SOMETHING about this situation but I'm not a celebrity with a bunch of connections. I'm a random guy on the internet.
